We are here to educate the public about the types of human trafficking, your reporting responsibilities, agencies who take these reports, and how illicit massage businesses are harming the massage profession.
The Lucky Cat ?
Illicit massage businesses (IMBs) use the cover of legal bodywork to run commercial sex operations and are frequently tied to names like "Lucky" (such as Lucky Day Massage) or feature lucky cat symbols, operating as hidden fronts for human trafficking and organized crime networks. Thousands of locations operate across US strip malls and storefronts under generic or auspicious names. Phone numbers for these storefronts often connect directly to explicit online advertisements. City massage ordinances often hurt the legitimate massage businesses, while trying to curb the IMBs. The answer isn't legalizing prostitution. The answer is to work WITH the legally licensed massage therapists in your community, city council, fire dept, law enforcement, city government to create regulations that protect the community, victims, and the massage profession.
